By law all sales of alcohol conducted on licensed premises must be authorised by a personal licence holder. To apply to become a personal licence holder, the applicant must hold a regulated qualification to prove they can sell alcohol both legally and responsibly.
Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders
This qualification is aimed at individuals working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence.
What do I need to do to get my personal licence?
After passing the exam you then need to make an application to your local council. An application must also be made for a DBS certificate. Once issued, the Licence will last indefinitely, with no need to renew.
Level 2 Award in Customer Service
This qualification is aimed at individuals working or preparing to work in a customer service role or where using the telephone is a part of their role.
These include understanding the principles of customer service, how customers’ needs and expectations are formed, knowing the interpersonal skills and appropriate behaviour required in the customer service environment and understanding the principles of responding to customers’ problems or complaints .
