What we do with your details
The short version: we use them to run your course and get you your card. That's it.
Who we are
Pathways Training is the trading name of Kevin Carrick, based at Norwich House, Savile Street, Hull HU1 3ES. Kevin is responsible for the personal information described on this page (the "data controller"), and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC185949.
What we collect
When you book a course we collect each delegate's name, email address and phone number, plus anything you tell us about support needs. When an employer books, we also collect the company name, any purchase order number and any notes you add.
Where a booking leads to a CITB test or a CSCS card application, we also collect the identity details the awarding bodies require.
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address and message, and your phone number and company if you give them.
With a booking or an enquiry we also record the internet (IP) address it was sent from, so we can stop the forms being misused.
Why we hold it
To run the course you've booked, to send joining instructions and certificates, and to register you with the relevant awarding body. Where you ask us to, we also use it to book a CITB test and submit a CSCS card application on your behalf.
The law asks us to say what allows us to do this. Running your booking is part of our agreement with you, or with your employer. Keeping assessment records is something the awarding bodies require of us. Answering an enquiry, and keeping the forms free of misuse, are in our legitimate interests. Analytics only runs if you agree to it.
Who sees it
The awarding body for your qualification, CITB where a test is booked, and CSCS where a card application is made. Your employer, where they are paying and have asked for certificates.
A few companies run parts of this website for us, and handle your information only on our instructions: Vercel hosts the site, Neon stores bookings and enquiries, an email service sends our booking and enquiry emails, and Google provides Google Analytics if you agree to it. Some of them are based outside the UK. Where your information goes abroad, it is protected by the UK's adequacy rules or by contract terms the ICO approves.
Nobody else. We don't sell data, we don't share it with marketing companies, and we don't add you to a mailing list because you booked a course.
How long we keep it
Awarding bodies require us to keep assessment records for a set period. We hold those for as long as they require and no longer. An enquiry is kept only for as long as we need it to deal with what you asked.
Support needs
If you tell us about a support need, we treat it as confidential. It is used to arrange reasonable adjustments and is not shared with your employer unless you ask us to.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. You can also ask us to stop using it or to limit how we use it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email us and we'll deal with it within a month, usually much sooner.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
