A decade, several thousand cards, and one stubborn belief: that the people who find training hardest are the ones who most need it done well.
Pathways started with a folding table, a projector nobody used, and a conviction that construction training had become a box-ticking exercise.
Ten years on, we've put several thousand people through their cards, from sixteen-year-olds on their first week to time-served tradesmen who hadn't sat an exam since school.
What we've learned
The people who struggle with training are almost never the people who can't do the job. They are the people who were failed by a classroom once and have avoided them ever since.
That is why we became a neurodiverse-friendly provider, why the one-to-one route exists, and why nobody in our sessions is ever made to read aloud.
What's next
More dates across Yorkshire, more on-site delivery for employers, and online refresher material so that what you learn on the day is still there when you need it in six months.
